TMS - Telephone Management System comprises two main components and some hardware.

It provides full telephony integration to the Merlin platform, including audio and messaging. All recordings related to alarms are stored in the main database irrespective of whether a server is deployed or not and all other calls recorded in the server in normal use (if the client supplies their own SIP server from another manufacturer this feature may not exist).

The client softphone will direct all calls to operator's terminals in the event of an alarm being handled there and, of course, all the typical features of a top of the range PBX are available, such as, interaction between database and operator (screen pop).

Initsys can supply telephones and headsets that are fully compatible with the Merlin platform and systems.

Interaction between two or more control rooms and police can be made by the use of SIP messaging and SIP text.
