The Responder App enables a civilian responder to protect themselves and provide two way interaction to Merlin and its Robots.
When an incident occurs, there is always the necessity for a response. Sometimes that response requires a human to attend. An excellent example of this is in the case of an intruder alarm activation or personal attack.
The primary responder in both cases is likely to be Police, or a guard tasked explicitly with responding.
There is often an additional call to a keyholder or a responsible person. This person could arrive before the primary responder. But in almost all cases, this person likely clears the event from the control room. It is also true that this responder will require additional protection, having not had the training essential for a first responder.
The responder APP gives such protection, providing real-time tracking, estimated time of arrival and panic facility via on-screen buttons or the ICETAG.
The responder APP allows the creation of additional incidents, the capture of written notes, images and audio, and the incident escalation to a repair team or insurance.
Despatch robots in Merlin work closely with the Responder App to provide a full end to end robotic clearance of the incident.
